The Llama Association of Southern California, or LASC, established in 1985, is a non-profit association, incorporated under the laws of the state of California.
Our MissionProvide for the exchange and dissemination of information pertaining to the llama, with emphasis on health, breeding and training as well as for the promotion of the pleasure, recreation and welfare of its members, with emphasis on local and regional marketing to ensure a steady growth of interest and awareness of llamas.
Membership BenefitsMemberships, individual and ranch, include a membership directory, quarterly newsletters, notices of regional clinics and workshops, shows, hikes, and other events, and access to LASC resources, including literature and videos. MeetingsLASC holds an annual General membership meeting each November, in which directors are elected and other business is addressed. Additionally, four other meetings are sponsored throughout the year and throughout the geographical area, with lots of good old-fashioned socializing along with demonstrations of everything from working with wool to packing and cart training. Then there is the annual barbeque and fund-raising auction, a "don't miss" event! LASC is involved in several local fairs and its members are involved in many other events and activities.
